denies UN peacekeepers in Haiti are responsible for cholera. France raises security

The United Nations (UN) said there was no evidence to suggest that peacekeeping forces in Haiti have been responsible for transmitting the anger among the inhabitants.

The UN said that all Nepalese soldiers in the mission have undergone medical examinations prior to their deployment in the Caribbean country and none was positive. So were also negative samples taken at the camp last week.

soldiers camp in Nepal has become the object of suspicion of being the cause of the cholera outbreak in Haiti because this disease is endemic in that country.

cholera so far has killed more than 300 people.
